Strong at Any Age: Redefining Frailty Together
On 22 January 2026, 17.30 – 19.00
Language: English
Where: Online
Whom: People living with bleeding disorders, caregivers, patient advocates, and anyone interested in ageing well and living strong with a chronic condition

Discover how ageing with a bleeding disorder doesn’t mean losing strength, independence, or quality of life. Join us for this informative webinar tailored for people living with rare bleeding disorders, their families, caregivers, and the broader community. Strong at Any Age – Redefining Frailty Together brings together clinical expertise and lived experience to explore how we can rethink frailty, promote resilience, and support healthy ageing for all.

In this session, Prof Susie Shapiro and Dr William McKeown will unpack what “frailty” really means in the context of bleeding disorders — focusing on practical insights, evidence-based strategies, and real-world perspectives that matter to patients. They’ll discuss how ageing affects physical strength, function, and overall well-being, and highlight ways to stay active, engaged, and empowered throughout life. There will also be time for live interaction and audience Q&A.

This webinar is the first one organised by the EHC in the Ageing Well with Rare Bleeding Disorders webinar series in partnership with ERN-EuropBloodNet (you can register for the whole series HERE).

This webinar series is part of the broader Living Well, Ageing Well, the EHC Ageing Project 2025–2026, which brings together experts, patients, and caregivers to explore topics like mobility, mental health, nutrition, comorbidity management, and more.

What to expect:

  •  Expert-led insights on redefining frailty in bleeding disorders
  •  Strategies to support strength and healthy ageing
  •  Lived experience perspectives
  •  Interactive Q&A with speakers
