The European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC) has launched two new calls for volunteers, inviting individuals from across the bleeding disorders community to contribute their time, experience, and perspective to two important areas of EHC’s work.
These opportunities are open exclusively to members of EHC National Member Organisations (NMOs). EHC NMOs are encouraged to share these calls with members who may wish to get involved.
Mental Health Working Group: 6 volunteers, one-year mandate (2027)
The EHC is seeking six volunteers to join its Mental Health Working Group, continuing the work carried out during the Group’s first two terms (2025–2026). The Group focuses on developing and disseminating mental health resources, supporting awareness campaigns and educational content, and collaborating with psychosocial care professionals and other EHC Committees to address the mental health needs of the bleeding disorders community.
Candidates should either have a bleeding disorder themselves or be a relative or caregiver of someone who does, be fluent in English, and be able to commit around one hour per week, plus a monthly one-hour online meeting.
Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) Committee: 7 volunteers, three-year mandate (2027–2029)
The EHC is also looking for seven volunteers to join the VWD Committee. The Committee works to build a European community of people with VWD, strengthen a network of VWD advocates, and improve diagnosis, treatment, and access to care across Europe in partnership with other stakeholders.
The Committee is seeking up tosix people with lived experience of VWD (patients or parents of a person with VWD) and up to two healthcare professionals involved in VWD care. Volunteers should be fluent in English and able to commit to roughly one hour per week, a monthly 1.5-hour online meeting, and one in-person meeting per year.
How to apply
Applicants for both opportunities should submit a CV, a letter of recommendation from their NMO President, a completed Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form, and a signed Code of Conduct Form. VWD Committee applicants should also complete the Membership Application form found in the Terms of Reference, while Mental Health Working Group applicants should include a motivation letter.
