What about mental health?

Mental health is crucial for patients living with bleeding disorders as it significantly impacts their overall well-being and ability to manage their condition. Good mental health can help them cope with the stress, anxiety, and potential social isolation associated with their disorder, leading to better treatment adherence and improved quality of life. Addressing mental health is essential for holistic care and optimal health outcomes.

About the Mental Health Working Group

The EHC Mental Health Working Group (MH WG) was established in March 2025, with its primary focus being the development and implementation of the mental health survey to assess the needs of the bleeding disorders community. The group also contributed to the EHC Round Table on Mental Health, bringing together experts, advocates, and patients to discuss challenges, raise awareness, and promote solutions.

To get involved or learn more about the MH WG, please contact Zita GacserCommunity and Projects Lead.

Join the EHC Mental Health Working Group

We are currently looking for six (6) volunteers to join the EHC’s Mental Health Working Group for a period of one year (2026). The group will focus on completing and analysing the 2025 mental health survey, presenting its results, and proposing new initiatives based on the findings. It will also work to strengthen awareness, provide support, and promote education on mental health within the bleeding disorders community across Europe. Members of the group will contribute insights and guidance to EHC members, volunteers, and staff on mental health issues affecting the community.

We would love to have you involved as we continue our work to improve wellbeing across the community.
