Unlike past challenges, we’re all in this together. The goal? To collectively cover 1000 km — half the distance from Brussels to Sofia — in just two weeks leading up to the EHC Annual Conference to be held from 4-6 October in Sofia, Bulgaria. Every small effort can lead to big impacts, and individual contributions, when combined, make a big difference!

The EHC announces the call opening for one volunteer from its NMOs to join the Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) Committee until the end of the current mandate (end of 2026).

In the framework of our #ThisWay campaign, the EHC interviewed Camilla Wensing, a caregiver from Switzerland/Sweden and CEO of the Swiss Haemophilia Society, who shared with us her journey raising her son Enea, who is a patient with severe haemophilia B with a high-responding inhibitor.

In July 2024, the EHC was on its first country visit under Miguel Crato’s presidency mandate. The EHC joined forces with the WFH, and paid a visit to its Bosnian and Herzegovinian NMO to assess the situation for patients with bleeding disorders and caregivers in the country and discuss with decision-makers ways to improve care and quality of life for all.

In the framework of our #ThisWay Campaign, the EHC interviewed Adam Trojańczyk (39) from Poland. Living with severe haemophilia B since birth, Adam has overcome significant physical challenges and hospitalisations through determination, discipline, and a focus on personal development, ultimately becoming a successful CEO and an advocate for others facing similar obstacles.

EHC is proud to announce the launch of its collaborative educational project together with the ERN-EuroBloodNet “Topic on Focus: von Willebrand Disease (VWD)” for patients, patient organisations, and healthcare professionals.

In the framework of our #ThisWay campaign, the EHC interviewed William McKeown (32) from the United Kingdom, a patient with severe haemophilia A, who shared with us how he improved his mental and physical health and built sustainable healthy habits by changing his mindset and getting involved with patient communities.
