The EHC VWD Committee is proud to announce the release of its “NMO Handbook: A Comprehensive Guide to von Willebrand Disease (VWD)”.

The EHC’s new book, created to help children with von Willebrand Disease explain their condition to those around them, has inspired a colouring page that young artists can bring to life with their own creativity.

In the framework of our #ThisWay Campaign, the EHC interviewed Gertu Saaretalu, a severe haemophilia A patient from Estonia. She shared her journey from a late diagnosis to building resilience, finding her own coping strategies.

From 21 to 23 November 2025, Sesimbra, Lisboa, hosted the 11th edition of the Associação Portuguesa de Hemofilia e de outras Coagulopatias Congénitas (APH) National Haemophilia Congress.

The EHC has opened new calls for volunteers for its Mental Health Working Group, Women and Bleeding Disorders Committee, and European Rare and Inhibitor Network Committee. Deadline for applications: 4 January 2026.

The EHC delegation visited Ljubljana, in Slovenia, on 3–4 November 2025 to learn more about national approaches to bleeding disorders care and to support joint efforts to enhance treatment, access, and patient engagement across the country.
